The bio fire consumes 1 litre of ethanol fuel every 6-7 hours and the chamber will hold approximately 3/4 litre of ethanol fuel.
The Bio Flame Rio is a stunning fire pit that can be used both indoors and outdoors.
Running on ethanol fuel, this fire pit is crafted in stainless steel and comes with a glass viewing cylinder to protect the user from the naked flame. The fire uses a unique burner with a patented ceramic core.
The bio fire burner is constructed from steel and employs a porous ceramic block to store the bio ethanol fluid. The porous ceramic soaks up the bio ethanol like a sponge and then releases it in a controlled manner when required.
This bioethanol burner is TUV approved and is one of the only bio fire in Europe with a TUV safety approval stamp
The advantages of this system over open trough bio ethanol burners are as follows:
1) Controlled release of the bio ethanol fluid, which extends the burn time of 1 litre of bio ethanol and therefore reduces the running costs.
2) The porous block absorbs the fluid so that in the event a burner is knocked over, the bio ethanol is contained within the block and doesn't spill on to the surrounding area.
3) The flame height is controlled by the consistent release rate of the porous block.
Our bio ethanol contemporary fires, burn bio ethanol producing no smell or smoke unlike a gel fire which burns gel fuel. Gel fires do smell and leave behind a residue in the combustion chamber. The benefit of bio ethanol over gel fuel is that it allows you to sit around the fire without the usual inconvenience of smoke, a complaint of chimeneas and wood buring stoves.
The fire is lit with an extendable lighter and extinguished using the sliding mechanism so you don't have to stick your hands in the flames. This fire pit can be dressed with black pebbles or our unique Black Diamond material
Having a chiminea in your garden is nice, but not everyone wants a traditional garden fire. The Rio is a great alternative to a chiminea if you want a modern outdoor fire in your garden.
